Your new DFCU Mastercard credit card will soon be in your wallet. See below for more details.
There are some important things you need to know about receiving your new credit card.
- Your new card will be mailed to you the week of September 8, and you should receive it within 7-10 business days.
- Your current Visa card will become inactive at 6:45 am EST on September 21.
- You can activate your new Mastercard card at that time as well.
Why the change?
These upgraded cards have the latest chip technology for enchanced security, they're contactless (for convenience), and even have additional benefits.
But we've maintained the same great rates, online access, and excellent customer service to which you're accustomed.
The new cards also allow you to be included in our Mastercard Sweepstakes. We've been able to give away tickets, trips, and even a new car!
Will everyone receive a new card? What if I have a secondary cardholder in the home?
Everyone will be issued a new card, with a new individual card number, CVC number, and expiration date.
Will my interest rate change?
No, your interest rate will remain the same.
Will my grace period change for late payments?
I have recurring payments that are currently tied to my DFCU Visa credit card, what do I need to do?
To ensure there is no interruption in recurring or preauthorized payments (such as monthly telephone, electricity, gas bills, insurance, clubs, etc.), be sure to contact merchants on or after September 21, 2020 to update your card number and expiration date. DFCU’s CardSwap
tool, found within DFCU Online, can help make this easy for you.
